Artwork Specifications
Basic Requirements for submitting final artwork
(Typically performed by ad agencies or in-house corporate media departments)
• We operate on a Windows Platform
• We prefer these flat files (JPG, PNG, PSD, PDF at 300 dpi)
• We prefer no artwork bleeds, but print-target copy can have 6″ Bleed on all sides
• Include PMS Color Assignment in a separate email and not on the file
• We Prefer you do not include any frames or rule lines in your design
• When sending files make sure all support font files are included
• We do not accept files built in MS Word or PowerPoint
• We do not accept files built with word processing or publishing program
• We request that vinyls be black-backed to accommodate our tornado frames
Files that will be used for both printed vinyls and digital should use the different guidelines below as the colors will be dramatically less vibrant using the CMYK color mode on the RGB LED screens
Creation Files for Printing Vinyls (Bulletins)
Adobe Photoshop (.psd / .eps / .pdf) Layered Files can be created as….
300 dpi resolution files
Files sizes should be typically between 5MB and 20MB
Use CMYK using US Web Coated (SWOP v2) color profile
PMS color callouts should be Pantone Solid to Process library for printing in 4-color process
Include all Fonts (Typically found in the Windows Systems C:\WINDOWS\Fonts folder)
12′x24′ Billboards:
1″ = 3′ Scale (Document 12′x24′ Billboard will be 4″ x 8″) viewable area OR if with bleeds;
1″ = 3′ Scale with 6″ Bleed = (Document 12′x24′ Billboard will be 4.33″ x 8.33″ or 13’x25’)
12′x36′ Billboards:
1″ = 3′ Scale (Document 12′x36′ Billboard will be 4″ x 12″) viewable area OR if with bleeds;
1″ = 3′ Scale with 6″ Bleed = (Document 12′x36′ Billboard will be 4.33″ x 12.33″ or 13’x37’)
12′x48′ Billboards:
1″ = 3′ Scale (Document 12′x48′ Billboard will be 4″ x 16″) viewable area OR if with bleeds;
1″ = 3′ Scale with 6″ Bleed = (Document 12′x48′ Billboard will be 4.33″ x 16.33″ or 13’x49’)
Creation Files for Digitals
We prefer to have layered files for all digital artwork as occasionally we must slightly adjust either the layout or colors when the design is actually displayed on the LED screens.
Use RGB color, not CYMK
Layered Files Adobe Photoshop (.psd / .eps / .pdf/ .jpg) that LOOK will edit can be created as….
300 dpi resolution files
Files sizes should be typically between 5MB and 20MB
Include all Fonts (Typically found in the Windows Systems C:\WINDOWS\Fonts folder)
1″ = 3′ Scale (Document 12′x24′ Billboard will be 4″ x 8″) viewable area
Flat Files Adobe Photoshop (.psd / .pdf / .jpg) that advertiser finalizes can be created as….
300 dpi resolution files, saved as for web with HIGH resolution
Include all Fonts (Typically found in the Windows Systems C:\WINDOWS\Fonts folder)
File size for .pdf or .jpg files should be in the range of 500KB
